My workshop Miter saw is a 10 inch DeWalt that I purchased from Home Depot in early 2000. That’s right, its over 15 years old and still going strong. I may gift it at some point to my son and buy a new one. I’d really like to have a 12″ sliding version. The 10″ has done me great, but its just not large enough to cut some of the stock I need to break down. But replacing it is more complicated than just buying a new one. The 10″ miter saw nicely sits on my workbench. In order to fit a 12″ slider I would need to build a miter saw station. Something I don’t really have room for. So for now it stays.
